Privacy Policy
What information we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how to reach us.
Effective date: August 1, 2026 · Applies to magnetlabs.ai, report.magnetlabs.ai, and email we send you.
CatalogIQ is a product of Magnet Labs. Magnet Labs is the assumed name of Dynamik Technologies, Inc., a Michigan corporation, 42383 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038, USA. When this policy says "we," "us," or "Magnet Labs," it means Dynamik Technologies, Inc.
This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how to reach us. We've written it to describe what we actually do. It is not a claim of certification under any privacy law.
The short version
- CatalogIQ is a one-time report. There are no user accounts, logins, or passwords.
- We collect your email, the store URL you give us, a few checkout details, and standard website analytics.
- We never see or store your card number. Stripe handles payment.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Order and crawl data are deleted about 120 days after your report is delivered (90 days after the report link expires), except for the payment records we're required to keep.
- To ask a question or request deletion, email support@magnetlabs.ai.
1. Information we collect
1.1 When you use the CatalogIQ report app (report.magnetlabs.ai)
| What | When | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | Free preview and paid checkout | To send your report link and receipt, and to answer support requests |
| The store URL or domain you enter | Free preview and paid checkout | It's what the report is about |
| The scoring profile you choose | Free preview and paid checkout | It determines how the catalog is scored |
| Your confirmation that you're authorized to request a report for that domain, with the date, time, and IP address of that confirmation | Paid checkout | To record that you had authority to ask us to review the store |
| Stripe Checkout session and payment identifiers | Paid checkout | To match your payment to your order and to process any refund. We do not receive or store your card number. |
| Marketing attribution (UTM parameters, referring page, landing page) | Free preview | To understand which channels bring people to CatalogIQ |
| Public product-page content from the store you named | While building the report | To compute the score and fix list |
The free size check (counting product URLs from a store's public robots.txt and sitemaps) collects no information about you. No email or payment is required.
1.2 When you use our marketing site (magnetlabs.ai)
- Forms. If you submit our larger-catalog intake or support form, we collect what you enter: typically name, work email, company, store URL, product count, platform, and your message.
- Cookies and analytics. The marketing site uses HubSpot (CMS, forms, and visitor tracking) and Google Analytics 4. HubSpot shows a cookie banner where you can accept or decline non-essential cookies.
- App analytics. The report app uses PostHog for product analytics. It sets no cookies; it keeps a random ID in your browser's local storage to connect your visits, and once you give us your email it replaces that ID with a one-way coded ID — never the address itself.
1.3 What we don't collect
Card or bank numbers (Stripe collects those directly through its hosted checkout), passwords or account credentials (there are none), and anything behind a login on the store we review. We read public pages only — the same pages any shopper or search engine can load.
2. How we use information
- To build and deliver the report you ordered and to charge for it.
- To send transactional email about your order ("your report is ready," "your crawl failed," receipts, refund confirmations).
- To respond to support and deletion requests.
- To send marketing email if you've given us your email through the marketing site or a preview. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
- To understand how people find and use CatalogIQ, and to improve it.
- To prevent abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.
3. Who we share information with
We share information with the service providers below, only to the extent they need it to do the job described. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
| Provider | What they do for us | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing | Your email, payment amount, and the payment details you enter on Stripe's checkout page |
| Resend | Sends our transactional email | Your email address and report link |
| Scrapfly and Firecrawl | Fetch public pages when our own crawler is blocked | Public URLs and page content from the store being reviewed — not your personal information |
| Anthropic and OpenAI | Generate the written narrative in your report | Public product data from the store being reviewed — not your personal information |
| HubSpot | Marketing site hosting, forms, CRM, marketing email, site analytics | Form submissions and site behavior; and, when you run a free preview or order, your email and store with the preview's results (score, product count, platform) and whether you ordered, kept as a contact in our CRM |
| Google Analytics | Web analytics | Site usage data |
| PostHog | Product analytics (no cookies; a random ID in your browser's local storage) | Report-app usage events, identified by a one-way coded ID in place of your email — never the address itself |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the rights of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business (in which case this policy continues to apply to it).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
4. How long we keep information
- Order and crawl data: deleted 90 days after your report link expires. Links are valid for 30 days, so this is roughly 120 days after delivery.
- Payment records: we keep the transaction record (email, amount, date, Stripe identifiers, and refund history) for as long as tax and accounting laws require, then delete it.
- Marketing site and CRM data: kept until you ask us to delete it or unsubscribe, or until it is no longer needed.
- Free preview records: deleted on the same schedule as orders.
5. Your choices
- Deletion. Email support@magnetlabs.ai from the address you used and ask us to delete your information. We'll confirm when it's done. Payment records we're legally required to keep are the only exception.
- Access and correction. Email us and we'll tell you what we hold about you and correct anything that's wrong.
- Marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us.
- Cookies. Use the cookie banner on magnetlabs.ai, or your browser settings.
We honor these requests for everyone, regardless of where you live. If a state privacy law gives you additional rights, you can exercise them through the same email address, and we won't treat you differently for doing so.
6. Security
We use encrypted connections, restrict access to order data to people who need it, and rely on Stripe for all payment handling so card data never touches our systems. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.
7. Children
CatalogIQ is a business tool. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Where we operate
We operate from the United States and sell in US dollars to US customers. Information is stored and processed in the United States.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date and, where we have your email, let you know.
